about me

I am an Aotearoa (New Zealand)-born, Berlin-based music producer, educator, guitarist, singer, collective founder and event producer, with more than 15 years of experience teaching and sharing the joy of music-making with others.

I firmly believe that opportunities for self-expression through music should be accessible to all. I am passionate about social justice and fighting for equity in the music industry and beyond.

I bring an abundance of experience from across the music industry as a performer and producer, in event design and production, to behind-the-scenes in music publishing, copyright management and music technology. I have witnessed the unique power of music-making to uplift and empower individuals through creative expression, and to unite groups across language and cultural divides.

My desire to share this potential and work for positive change in my wider community led to me founding Éclat Crew in 2018, a Berlin-based collective for FLINTA* (Femme Lesbian Intersex Non-Binary Trans Agender) electronic music producers. There I host bi-weekly music-making workshops for new and experienced producers alike. I am particularly passionate about supporting FLINTA* and Queer folks to grow their confidence and express themselves through music.

As a Creative Producer at Ableton’s Loop Summit I designed and produced events intended to exchange ideas at the cutting edge of music, technology and creative practice, always with an intersectional approach to representation.

In my own creative practice, I currently produce warm, wonky beats and singer of moody aural treats under the name Yvois, and am the singer-songwriter behind the indie rock project Luckless.
